kosciuszko principal announcement

Clare has been a valuable member of the School District of Cudahy for the past four years, initially serving as the Associate Principal at Cudahy High School before assuming the role of Communication Liaison and Grant Specialist this past year. Over the past four years, she has demonstrated a commitment to student-centeredness, timely and effective communications, and collaboration. She is eager to return to a position that directly impacts students and teachers, citing her passion for fostering a supportive learning environment.

"I am most excited about Kosciuszko Elementary School because of the familial sense I get when I go over there," said Clare. "Parents and teachers care about the students equally, and students feel loved and valued. It is apparent there."

Clare is particularly impressed by the dedication of Kosciuszko's teachers and their commitment to academic excellence. "It will be really nice working closely with such dedicated and impressive educators - I cannot wait!" she added.

As Clare steps into her new role, she acknowledges the significant legacy left by her predecessor, Melissa Kostka, who served the district for 24 years. Clare is determined to continue Kostka's work at Kosciuszko, focusing on academic achievement for all, social-emotional well-being, and a culture of inclusion and culturally responsive practices.

"I know I have big shoes to fill, and I am committed to continuing the excellent work that Melissa Kostka has started at Kosciuszko Elementary School," Clare emphasized.

The School District of Cudahy extends its warmest congratulations to Clare Canfield on her new role and expresses gratitude to Melissa Kostka for her years of dedication and service to the district.
