Classroom Assessments
Classroom teachers continuously gather formative assessment data on what students know and are able to do throughout the instruction process. Assessments administered before, during, and after instruction provide information to both teachers and students on where students are within the learning process and provide both stakeholders direction on the next steps for learning.
District Benchmark Assessments
The School District of Cudahy has selected the following assessments to provide benchmark data on student performance three times a year; fall, winter, and spring in reading and/or math.
AIMSWEB PLUS: 4K - 3rd grade Reading
FastBridge: K5 - 10th grade Math & 4th grade - 10th grade Reading
Teachers use benchmark assessment data to determine instructional goals for individuals and groups of students. Benchmark assessments measure student achievement against grade level peers showing where students rank, as well as providing information on student growth. Students who demonstrate below grade level achievement are supported within our Response to Intervention system of supports and continuously progressed monitored using these assessment tools throughout the intervention cycle.
